About Bouvard
Bouvard is 80 minutes south of Perth and 45 minutes north of Bunbury. It is 15 minutes from Mandurah and 5 minutes from the Dawesville Cut.
Mandurah
Mandurah is one of the fastest growing communities in Australia, and offers a full range of shopping, leisure and nightlife activities. It has many restaurants around the waterfront, and has cinemas and an entertainment centre that often hosts national and international acts/performers.
During summer months, Mandurah hosts waterfront markets along the boardwalk.
Fishing, Watersports and Beach activities
The estuary and the oceans off Mandurah are famous for boating/fishing crabbing. There are dedicated fishing jetties within the Cut, and boat-hire and charter opportunities at Port Bouvard.
There are boat jetties and a waterskiing area in the Harvey Estuary just minutes from Bouvard Stay. The home is close to the foreshore bike path, a children’s playground and a waterside barbeque area.
There are at least three swimming beaches within minutes, including Melros, Florida and Falcon. Falcon Beach offers a protected family environment with a diving pontoon in the bay during summer months. Tim’s Thickett Road offers 4WD (only) access to the beach, and is a great fishing spot. Boats can be launched into the ocean at Melros Beach.
Inland Attractions
There are several wineries including MillBrook, Cape Bouvard Wines and Lake Clifton vineyard and winery. All have cellar door facilities.
Go mountain biking or whitewater rafting at Dwellingup, visit Marapana Wildlife World, the Botanical Gardens at Barragup or Abingdon Miniature Village.
Golf
There are several golf courses nearby including The Cut and Meadow Springs.
Food and restaurants
There are many restaurants in Mandurah, but there are several within minutes from Bouvard, on and around the Dawesville Cut. Visit the multi-award winning Miami Bakehouse, just 10 minutes from Bouvard Stay.
